Hippo's in New York
Foodie Item: concept!
Your Story: After spending time in New York, I was suprised to learn there is only one super-mart on the island, but the plentiful and efficient small grocery/deli stores eliminate the need for a super-store!
I hope you can replicate the concept and sucess of those NY downtown stores/delis.

With folks like you we will be a success. Hippo has a few relatives in New York and I know exactly what your talking about.
Superstores is an oxymoron. There is nothing super about those stores unless you want to get a car battery at the same place you get your evening dinner. We'll be open in March of 07. Please stay in touch.

Right on there Hippo 1, Super? It should be called a StuporMarket because you wander the aisles aimlessly looking for a jar of Apple Butter. Then you ask a stocker wheres its at and he sends you to aisle 79 and you find your apple butter stocked next to the cocoa butter sunscreen and then you have 43 choices to make..Yes thank you very much for those kind words, come by and visit anytime.

TraderJoe's just opened near Union Square in Manhattan. It is so popular that sometimes there are people in lines on the street waiting to get in.
