Believe it or not, we made it across the finish line! Come by and see our incredible selection of grocery, produce, meats, chicken, fish, cheeses and the list just goes on! People have been raving about our prepared foods and the wine selection is something you just have to see to believe. We CAN tell you that it is the largest that downtown San Antonio has to offer. So, stop by and for sure bring a friend. We look forward to meeting all of you! Hippo On!

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying in San Anotnio during the past week. It was a great experience (coming from New England!), but made all the better with Hippo's being in the proximity of our hotel on College Street. Great location, great selection. But..super theme! Wish you thebest in your endeavors. But, wat is it with HEB? Do they own San Antonio or what? Ye gads! I will no longer complain about the proliferation of Stop & SHop in the Northeast..at least we have Shop Rite, Pathmark, and a vriety on strong local chains. I am a "foodie" and it would appear that unless yuo shop at HEB in Texas (San Antonio), well you are just out of luck....hence one of the reasons why we LOVED the Hippo!
