natural + organic foods
I live in the downtown area and am commited to living a healthy lifestyle. Part of that is eating organic and natural foods (natural meaning foods without hydrogenated oils, high-fructose corn syrup or chemical preservatives). Typically I only shop at Whole Foods because they have the best selection of these items, but it would be wonderful to have a grocery nearby that would supply these goods as well. Even if it's just a corner store to pick up last-minute odds and ends, it is a much needed resource downtown!

We are going to do our best to please eveyone so our selection of goods will be a nice mix of fresh and organic and a little something for everyone. One of our goals is to support the local growers and suppliers. Come by and see us and and visit you probbably do all your shopping at Hippos forever. A wise old Hippo once said "eat fresh, sleep late, go shopping and be merry".
